Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Paddle is our merchant of record

Every purchase is sold and processed by Paddle as the merchant of record. Paddle's own Refund Policy and Buyer Terms govern your transaction. This page explains how we apply that policy for AI Governance Study. Nothing here reduces any right you have under Paddle's policy or under law, and where they differ, the higher level of protection always applies.

2. Nothing to cancel — passes never auto-renew

Access passes are one-off purchases for a fixed period (1, 3 or 12 months). There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, and no recurring payment to cancel — when your pass ends, access simply returns to the free tier and your study progress stays intact.

3. Try before you buy

All of Domain I — its study topics, practice questions and flashcards — is free with an account, and stays free. That's roughly a quarter of the course, there precisely so you can judge the depth, style and difficulty of the material before paying anything.

4. Immediate access and your right of withdrawal

An access pass is digital content supplied immediately. If you are in the UK, the EU/EEA, or another region with a statutory "cooling-off" period, you would normally have up to 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because access is granted straight away, at checkout you expressly consent to access beginning immediately and acknowledge that you therefore lose the right to withdraw once access has begun — under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and equivalent EU rules. This is the same basis set out in Paddle's Refund Policy for digital content that has started to be supplied, and it is the standard way online courses and study materials are sold.

5. When a refund will be issued

Beyond your statutory rights, refund requests are considered case by case. Contact support@aigovernance.study from the email on your account within 14 days of purchase. A refund will normally be issued where:

6. Refund abuse

As set out in Paddle's Refund Policy, refunds may be declined where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour. Working through the paid content after expressly consenting to immediate access, and then asking for the money back, falls into that category — the free Domain I tier is provided precisely so you can evaluate the material before you buy. We also reserve the right to decline a refund where we see extreme usage activity in the account.

7. Faulty content — your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy reduces your statutory rights. In the UK, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality (Consumer Rights Act 2015); if it isn't, you are entitled to the remedies the law provides, including repair, replacement or a price reduction or refund where applicable. Equivalent protections apply for EU consumers under local law. Where local consumer-protection laws give you additional or non-waivable rights, those rights apply in full.
